On top of this and intertwined within you then get a beautiful arrangement of flowers and petals. A particular colour scheme is usually involved and perhaps one or two types of flowers. The look is just fantastic and a floral wreath will surely brighten up your home and be a talking point for guests and family as they walk through your front door.

The great thing about floral wreaths is the variety. There is limitless possibilities due to the sheet amount of flower species available. Notable inclusions you can typically find are hydrangea, carnation, anemone, rose, chrysanthemum, larkspur, tulips, orchids, lilies, and sunflowers. Some of these are season and are not always available, but regardless of the time you should be able to get a stunning flower wreath.

Natural flower wreaths provide heady scents and not only look beautiful but can make your hallway and the entrance to your home smell glorious too. There is a little maintenance required though so this is something to bear in mind.

Artificial flower wreaths look incredible too and it is often difficult to tell that the flowers and petals are not real. These wreaths are perfect if you don’t want to do any additional maintenance and they last for ages too. Whatever type of floral wreath you want, we have the answer and a host of accessories for easy hanging too.

How to look after a floral wreath?

If your floral wreath has real flowers and greenery you should aim to water it semi-regularly. This can be done with a small spray bottle – just give the natural elements a regular misting to stop them from drying out. You may also want to try and keep the wreath out of direct sunlight for long periods.

How to best hang your wreath?

There are several ways to hang your floral wreath on your front door. The quickest method is to use a wreath hanger. These are specially designed items that have two hooks – the first hook clamps onto the top of your door, and the second one is what you hang the wreath from.

A ribbon can work in a similar manner too. You need one adhesive hook and a length of ribbon. Place the adhesive hook on the rear of your door and loop the ribbon through it and over the top of your door. The other end of the ribbon is then tied around the wreath – easy!

What is the ideal wreath size for your front door?

You don’t want a flower wreath that is too big, or one that is swallowed up and looks lost on your front door. As a result, you must first measure your front door and find the internal width (not including the doorframe).

Once you know the width of your door, we advise subtracting 5-10 inches from this to get the ideal flower wreath size. For example, if your door is 32 inches wide, a great garland wreath size would be between 22-27 inches wide.

Which is better – An artificial or real floral wreath?

Real flower wreaths usually look a little better and brighter. The greenery and colors of the petals really stand out and you get to drink in the amazing scents from the flowers. The drawback is that to keep them looking great you must care for them with watering.

Artificial wreaths also look superb and the materials used still look realistic. You don’t get the same smell, but there is no aftercare needed and you don’t need to keep them out of the sun. In short, artificial flower wreaths are the best for practicality, while real wreaths are the best from a visual and fragrant perspective.
